Born in 1972 in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland, Sylvie Lazzarini worked for two years at a video production company, took scriptwriting courses at the DAVI (Audio-visual and Computer Engineering Department) in Lucerne, and studied for 18 months at the Film Department of the ECAL. Since 1995, she has studied directing at the DFFB in Berlin. She directed "Rupture" (video) in 1996, "Uberraschung" in 1997, and "La Bicyclette rouge" in 1998.
