Agnes Kocsis was born in Budapest in 1971. After studying Polish literature, and film aesthetics and history in Budapest, she went to study in Rome for a year at the National Film School. She studied film directing at the Hungarian Academy of Theatre, Film and Television for 5 years, and graduating in 2005. She is currently in postproduction on Fresh Air, her first feature film, as well as her graduation film. Her previous short, 18 Pictures from the Life of a Conserve Factory Girl, was presented at Angers in 2005.
