After En avoir (ou pas) (To Have (or Not)) and before Love Me, Sandrine Kiberlain and Laetitia Masson worked together on À vendre (For Sale), screened in the Un Certain Regard selection of the 1998 Cannes Film Festival. It was a busy period for Kiberlain, who at the same time was working in films by Benoit Jacquot (Le Septième Ciel (Seventh Heaven)), Jacques Audiard (Un héros très discret (A Self-Made Hero)) and Pascal Bonitzer (Rien sur Robert (Nothing About Robert)). Her role in À vendre earned her a nomination for the César for Best Actress.
