On vacation, a couple and their son arrive at a chalet next to a lake. Each member of the family quickly goes off to his own activity. The father, the mother and the son occupy three distinct territories: the lake, the shore, and the chalet.

Born in 1970, Joao Carrilho first took intensive digital technology classes at Médiaform. After this, he studied photography for one year at AR.CO, as well as video-film classes at the ESAP. Carrilho then worked on the conception of video operations for various events, and directed, produced and edited television commercials and music videos. A margem is his first short film.
