Warsaw 1982. Anne, a young director, is arrested by the military police in the company of a stranger. After seven years of exile, a television company asks her to make a film about a more or less famous Solidarity militant. The young woman starts to research the period of the state of emergency. She goes from one surprise to another.

Born in 1956, Konrad Szolajski studied at the Universities of Warsaw and Slask, before entering the NFTS (England). He is now director and script writer. He works in publishing, radio, television, advertising and the cinema. The author of several satirical comedies, "A man of ..." is his first work for the big screen.
