Pedro Fortes and A girl In the mirror invites you to travel to a peculiar place, somewhat mysterious, a sophisticated mirrored box inside a TV studio. A place where the putting on of a red lipstick gives life and the broadcast camera takes it away, whilst girls lost in endoscopic novels are thrown into darkness where they vanish into the emptiness of haute couture dresses.

Pedro Fortes was born in Faro, in the south of Portugal, on 1972. From 1990 to 1994, he studied Architecture and Fine Arts at the FAUTL and FBAUL faculty, in Lisbon. In 1997 he concluded his cinema studies at the National Cinema and Theatre School in Lisbon. A Rapariga no Espelho is his first short film after school.
