Born 1985 in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Northern Germany), Gitte Hellwig studied Media and Culture in Berlin from 2005 and has now graduated. In 2009 she started to study animation at the "Konrad Wolf" Film and Television Academy in Potsdam-Babelsberg. 13 is her first animation film.
