Kacper Checinski
Born in Sweden in 1983 of Polish parents, Kasper Checinski has lived and worked in France since 2007. After obtaining a master's degree in art history, he devoted himself entirely to filmmaking, making several self-produced films during the 2010s. In 2018, he joined forces with Takami productions, with whom he shot the short film Avec l'humanité qui convient in 2023. The script was read at Premiers Plans in 2022. A great admirer of European auteur cinema, including that of Michael Haneke, he devotes himself to portraying human flaws and weaknesses in an austere, stripped-down style.
