Jesse Eisenberg was born in New York in 1983 and is an American actor, playwright, director and novelist. He starred with Noah Baumbach in The Squid and the Whale (2005) and appeared as a lead in the comedies Adventureland (2009) and
Zombieland (2009), followed by The Social Network (2010), in which he played Mark Zuckerberg. At the same time, he took part in more popular films, including Now You See Me (2013) and its sequel Now You See Me 2 (2016). Eisenberg also joined the DC Cinematic Universe in 2016, where he played Lex Luthor in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), directed by Zack Snyder. A Real Pain (2024) is his second film as a director.
