Only an old man, his grandson and some goats remained in a relocated village of Loess Plateau region。Holding a business in the town, the old man's son wanted his son to go to downtown school.When old man's son asked his father to go to the town once again, the old man had no choice to agree his son 's request and hoped they could leave a few days later after setting the goats free.However, ewes died for difficult lambing and the other goats returned home after expelled, everything is wistful ......
Nowadays, with the fast advancement of urbanization, agricultural civilization declines gradually. I was born in the northwest. Elder generation all experienced emotional entanglement like the middle-aged and elderly people in the film when left their hometown. The unwillingness to give up farming lifestyle, attachment to local flavors and worries about urban life all constitutes their local complex to born and die in this land. The rustic disappearance and tradition lost is a major transformation in the history of civilization. The short film is based on this background.
