"When I started writing the script, my real intention was to portray characters who are full of words, ideas and stories but are unable to utter or express them because they are held back by some strange force. As a consequence, the unspoken now hangs like a veil over the whole story causing the pain affecting most of the characters. (...) Beneath all that is unsaid, of course, lies the film's main narrative: the search for the person who killed the boy in a hit-and-run. I tried to find a subject that would leave no one indifferent. It is an event that can unsettle a whole village. Something that creeps into the life of every character in the film and causes them to reflect on their existence. " Fien Troch
