One Week was Buster Keaton’s first solo film, without Fatty Arbuckle. It was inspired by a Ford advert promoting prefabricated houses. The wedding, the car and the calendar pages to show that the house could be built in a week were all taken from this commercial. In addition to Keaton’s impressive stunts (performed without any special effects or stunt doubles), One Week was also the first film to have a 360- degree pan.
