Tribute to Jorge Semprún

Jorge Semprún was, alongside Sandrine Bonnaire, member of the Premiers Plans Jury in 2008, the year when special homage was paid to Resnais where he presented La Guerre est finie and Stavisky. Since then he returned to the Festival regularly until last January when he inaugurated the "Between Wars and Peace" retrospective with Fassbinder's The Marriage of Maria Braun. His culture spanned the fields of politics, art, history literature and philosophy. It was particularly fascinating since it was nourished by his personal experiences, the roles he played in Resistance and political struggle.
The Festival pays tribute to Jorge Semprún with the help of his friends Florence Malraux, Jeanne Moreau, Michel Piccoli, Francis Bueb et Jean-Michel Frodon.
